Regaining health is accomplished in a partnership between patient and doctor.
Dr Garber is there to assist you on your road to health. It is a team effort. The most powerful tool the patient can bring to this partnership is the willingness to actively participate. Knowledge is power, and to this end Dr. Garber attempts to educate his patients in all aspects of their illness and therapy. Dr. Garber has published articles on various health topics (many of which can found on this site - https://drgarbers.com/articles) and has been featured in the documentaries Prescription Thugs and Surviving PROSTATE CANCER without Surgery, Drugs or Radiation.
Homeopathy is a comprehensive system of medicine which was developed in Europe over 200 years ago.
Homeopathic medicine is holistic, in the true sense of the word, in that it addresses the whole person, not just your symptoms, but who you are as a person, physically, emotionally and mentally. To accomplish this, an extensive consultation is required where the patient is given the opportunity to tell his or her story with the undivided attention of the doctor. Written questionnaires are also used to assist the process.
Women's health care presents challenges throughout life due to its cyclic nature.
Dr. Garber has had extensive experience assisting women in each phase of life. Disorders of the menstrual cycle and fertility problems are addressed using natural substances that work to balance the system. Menopause, the transition out of reproductive life, is viewed as just that, a transition from one phase of life into another. Homeopathic, herbal and nutritional therapies help the the symptoms that can accompany this life phase effectively, without the harmful effects of hormone replacement therapy.
Functional medicine utilizes the latest in advanced laboratory testing to evaluate the functional capacity of the different systems of the body.
Depending on the organs being evaluated, tests may be conducted on blood, saliva, urine or stool. Important information is obtained as to what imbalances may be creating a functional problem in, for example, the thyroid or adrenal glands, the stomach or intestines, even the brain. Tests can be run to evaluate toxic build up in the body as well as for food or environmental allergies.
More and more now it is understood that many mental disorders are not best treated with pharmaceuticals.
Homeopathic medicines, along with specific dietary changes and nutritional supplementation, have proven to be efficacious in treating a long list of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, obsessive/compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, ADD and ADHD and many others.
Dr. Garber receives referrals from and works in conjunction with psychotherapists to better deal with all aspects of these conditions. He also receives referrals from psychiatrists who do not feel it appropriate for a patient to be medicated.
Many parents are concerned about the controversies surrounding vaccination.
There is mounting evidence that some vaccines are potentially harmful, some severely so. To vaccinate or not is a dilema every parent must face. This question can only be addressed from a place of knowledge, not from fear. Dr. Garber is a resource in this area, providing objective information, offering alternatives and treating children who have had adverse vaccine reactions.
